A few weeks ago, I decided to reward myself by getting some lovely skeins of yarns and braids of fiber from my regular stash supplier. It had been a while since I partook in her “UnClub” offering and I chanced upon it the moment she announced it! When the yarns arrived, I told myself that I did the right thing. The colours were just what I was looking for and although I don’t have a specific project in mind, these will definitely be the prettiest socks ever!
I also bought two hanks of yummy silk-alpaca lace from KnitPicks in shades of green and pastel green. Of lately, I seem to have caught the green bug and it would appear that even my dyepots were beginning to see more greens than other colours. Must be due to the ProFlowers Cincinnati assignment I got the other day. Anyway, I might use these for some triangle shawls I have queued up on Ravelry. Trouble is that I’m up to my neck in scarves (for my bro – and am making good progress with it), a Knit-Along (KAL) with a bunch of other M’sian knitters and another shawl using my own handdyed yarn. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it within the next couple of weeks or at least two months now that Bub No 2 is coming along – won’t be able to dye much so will have more time for other stuff. YAY!
And of course, how could I forgot my fiber stash enhancement? I have sock plans for the first braid and laceweight singles for the second…maybe even two ply laceweight if I can get it to a fine single! Both are from JulieSpins and so very ultra deliciously pretty!
