Remember yesterday when I mentioned that I had a couple of FOs ready to show off? Well, here they are!
First up, as usual, it’s one of my shawls…
Innocence
Pattern | Kiri
Yarn | Colourmart 100% cashmere in white
Needles | 4.5mm circulars (very loose cast off by using 7.5mm needles)
Modifications | A sprinkle of beads here and thereā¦
This, I hope, will be mark the beginnings of a new venture in lace knitting. I’m planning on coming up with my own designs and have started work on a modified shawl. It should be ready for showcasing before the wedding dinner…or maybe I shouldn’t that optimistic!
It took me a month to finish this second FO and I’m more than pleased with it. Here’s why…
Entrelac Scarf
Pattern | Entrelac Scarf by Allison LoCicero
Yarn | Patons SWS (Stripes) in Natural Navy
Needles | 5mm bamboo straight
Modifications | The wrong side is lined with a stretch of satin-y cloth
Just for information sake, the scarf measures approximately 60 inches long and 8 inches wide after blocking.
I decided to line the wrong side simply because the yarn feels a little scratchy and I really didn’t want to frog the whole project. The cloth came from some leftover bits I got back from the tailor who did my dinner outfits, and I salvaged as much as I could from it. After some measuring and tacking, the material was handstitched to the blocked-out scarf.
All in all, I’m happy…it’s the new year!!! Oh, did I mentioned that I’m so pleased with the scarf that I’ve started another one but this time in pink-violet-green/gold?

lovely FO. Love the elegant lacey shawl and cool entrelac scarf.
hey very very very nice!!! I’m on my first entrelac too and think i’ll be finishing by the end of the week (keeping fingers cross~~~)
