Pattern | Swallowtail Shawl
Yarn | Colourmart 100% silk in dark blue
Needles | 4.5mm circulars (very loose cast off by using both 4.5mm needles)
Modifications | Gold and dark blue beads around the edging and some bits of the pattern; less four rows from the edging.

This wasn’t what I expected it to be at all. At first I was a bit tad worried about the size but after blocking, well, lets just say that it outgrew my bed.

The yarn, purchased from Colourmart, was a pleasant surprise – hardly stinky (even though it was oiled) and smooth to work with. However, it was slightly finer than my other laceweight yarns and therefore I ran into some “accidents” with it – things like dropped stitches here and there plus a few other minor annoyances. But don’t let its fine appearance and texture fool you! It is very durable and tough.

Anyway, on to more shawls…at the moment? Cashmere white!!!!
