So it’s just about knitting these days.

Someone just told me that all I’ve been talking about lately are two things: knitting and yarns. Well, if you don’t count Nil as a topic, then fine… But really, in reality, I talk about a whole lot of things too.

Sorrweeeeeee if I’m boring you but this blog is about me, me and ME! And knitting makes me happy, keeps me relaxed – which is more than I can say for my country and the monkeys masquerading as politicians.

Now really, do you honestly want to hear me rant about a certain someone who went around excusing the over-extended attention of the CCTV on a woman’s thighs to “it’s her fault; she was dressed sexily”?

Anyone wants yarn for cheapo prices?

I’m somehow super bored of making scarves and the stuff I initially bought as a beginner are pretty useless for non-scarf projects. So I’m thinking of giving them away for EITHER free or a very very dirt-cheap stupidly low price.

Haven’t exactly made up my mind yet though…so if you’re interested, just drop me a comment and I’ll contact you via email.

If no one wants them ballies, then I’ll probably “donate” or trash it. =.=

All over again.

us

It is nice to know that someone as dear as him loves me enough to not let me go and at least get jealous of people he has never met before. Hehehehe.

It is nice to know that someone wants me to be by his side forever.

It is nice to know that despite the distance, we are both willing to work at making things right.

It is nice to know that we can still keep the fire burning over and over again even after being together for a while.

It feels good. *He* feels good. This really is someone I can see myself spending forever with.

Turn down the light, turn up the radio.
There’s a fire in your eyes, and its keeping me warm
Hold on to me like it was yesterday,
When we both felt our spirits collide

I remember the moment, being struck down by lightning
Since the first time I saw your face, and you smiled
Come and lay down with me
Fill the space that’s between us
Feel the magic that keeps love alive

Come and step through the stars,
Take a ride though the universe.
As long as we’re here, lets take this whole thing in

What I’m trying to say,
Is that you are so beautiful
Let me say it, all over again.

Love The Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery

The day…

…has been somewhat tiring…emotionally draining…mind-boggling.

I’ve been ultra snappish, bitchy and moody – all at the same time. It’s horribly annoying and well, I hate it when my brain starts to think of nonsensical things. This is why I knit, y’know.

If you were one of the people I was snappish, sudden or bitchy at…so sorry. I don’t usually act like this. I’m just…drained.

Meme time

Memes are always fantastic for a quick get-to-know session. Unfortunately, they can be stupendously long. Well, you can’t win them all.

1. ARE YOU A YARN SNOB (DO YOU PREFER HIGHER QUALITY AND/OR NATURAL FIBERS)? DO YOU AVOID RED HEART AND LION BRAND? OR IS IT ALL THE SAME TO YOU?
Right now, I don’t print money for a living so I’m pretty much stuck with commercial brands. It’s sad. I know.

2. DO YOU SPIN? CROCHET?
No, no spinning…yet. Crochet? Yup. Why not? Except that I’m pretty slow at it. Somehow I prefer knitting.

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES? (SMOKE, PETS, FIBERS, PERFUME, ETC.)
Just to calamari and that’s only if I eat an indecent amount of it. Otherwise, everything else sits pretty well with me.

4. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN KNITTING?
Since 2003 but I only started seriously a few months back.

5. DO YOU HAVE AN AMAZON OR OTHER ONLINE WISH LIST?
Naturally…but the list is boringly filled with knitting stuff.

Oz Hatfest! – Part II

Blue Swirls
Pattern | Odessa by Grumperina, Magknits.com
Yarn | Sirdar Country Style DK
Needles | 3.5mm & 4mm circulars + 4mm DPNs

One down, ten more to go.

This one is for one of the lovely ladies I work with – am not too sure if the pattern is too feminine for what I had in mind for the gents but we’ll see how it goes. I did botch up some bits of it, especially towards the end.

Anyway, I suppose I’ll just have to work on hats, hats and nothing else but hats for the next few weeks. Cast-on for Navy Cablerine will happen tonight, right after I finish fixing up that blasted website I am suppose to be working on.

Right now, I just want a nap.

Question: Why do we meet irresistable, gentle-hearted people when we are attached but never as singles?

Oz Hatfest! – Part I

yarn

Eleven hats.
Four weeks of non-stop hat knitting.
Yarns of different shades costing up to half of what I’m being paid for my web project.

It had better be priceless!

I’m officially bankrupt for this month and the next too. Why o’ why can’t knitting be a cheaper hobby here? *sigh* Question now is this: who’s going to get what colour and in what pattern? GAHHH!

:stars:

Anyway, all other knitting projects are officially on hold until I get these shipped to Sydney for some very wonderful people (and one irresistable arrogant little sod! ^.~) – sometime around the first two weeks of December.

Christmas gifts now?

I seriously must be nuts.

I have somehow crazily decided to knit about four hats and four lace scarves eleven hats; all of which require new yarn since I left the recipients the option to pick the colour they wanted. So far, I have some blues, pinks and even a green; no, the list isn’t even complete!

I don’t know why I sent that blasted email…all I do know is that now I can’t back out. *smacksself* Now don’t get me started on the time I’ll need to mail them over. Gah.

ps: I have now christened this event as Oz Hatfest and will soon post an update with yummilicious yarn! I hope I won’t go bankrupt!
