One Skein Baby Bolero
Pattern | Taken and adapted from One Skein’s Baby Bolero
Yarn | Sirdar Demin Sport Aran No 615
Needles | 5mm straight & 6mm circulars
Had half a ball of yarn left from cowl I did earlier, and decided that it was time to destash and put that One Skein book to good use. It took a while to piece everything together – first time seaming stuff and am pretty glad that it turned out to be quite decent. I think the edging even though doing it was a bytch. I lost count; in the end, because it was a ribbed pattern, I couldn’t be half-arsed about it so I just did the best I could with it. Note to self: never drink while you’re knitting.
The only changes I made were to the sleeves. They are way shorter than called for simply because I was afraid I would ran out of yarn halfway through the project. In the end, I ended up with some leftovers anyway. Heh. Probably use them for provisional cast-on projects next time. Quite an interesting cast-on, really.
Anyway, onto my Tangy Kiri Shawl (will post an update on this soon) and Les Bleus (I keep frogging it so much so that I think I’ll never finish one side!) plus need to block this bolero…or should I just pack it up the way it is?
