Save the Belum-Temengor Forest Complex!

The Save the Belum-Temengor Forest Complex campaign, organised by Malaysian Nature Society, is a campaign dedicated to saving the 130 million-year-old forest in Perak. It is also our last significant remnant of unprotected rainforest . The rainforest is now under threat from both legal and illegal logging.
We need your help in signing a petition in the form of a prepaid postcard to YB Menteri Besar of Perak and to YAB the Prime Minister of Malaysia. I know you might be thinking that your signature won’t make a difference but it will. Remember the saying “sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit” and “you are never too small to make a difference”!

You see, one person – me or you – may not create a ripple but a couple few thousand sure gives a whole new perspective on things. Saving the rainforests might sound like some sort of heroic deed that is not done by normal people like you and me but it’s people like you and me that can make a difference.

Check out this website at There is an online petition there that you can sign and a list of other activities that you can do to help out with this campaign. Five minutes is all it takes.

Lets take charge of our God-given responsibilities and lend a helping hand before Mother Nature decides to give up on all of us. Remember, we can’t jolly well move to another planet.
