Christmas is here, folks!

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos….
Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year, folks!

Well folks, I thought I’d put up a notice of some sort.
I’ll be away from today onwards till 3rd January - at the time of this post, I would be already on board my flight to CDG (Paris) via Dubai and well, I doubt I’ll have anything to blog about during my vacation in Lyon as well. Have a good weekend/week ahead and come visit again after the New Year for pictures and recap of the holiday, ya?
^_^
*wavles bye bye*
(ps: There will be a surprise Christmas post after this, me thinks…but just in case you don’t see it…blessed Christmas!)

Part II is here!

Countdown to the New Year - Part I

Well, lookie here. We are about five days away from Christmas and a good eleven days from the New Year. No resolutions for me - just hopes and dreams that the next year will be a feel-good year.
Now, as per tradition during this festive season, I usually do up a list of “top” events/items/people that have either taught me a lot or made life shitty for me. But somehow, I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to do a list of the same stuff again. It’s boring and well…tiring since reminding yourself of shitty stuff can really REALLY get to you. So I thought that maybe a month by month recount would be fun.

Contrary to popular belief, the only Christmasy right now in my house is the Christmas tree with the gawd-knows-how-old lights. I know, it is the season for festivities - yule logs, Christmas baubbles, Christmas tree, Christmas presents, Santa Clause, etc…
BUT…
And right now…I have a bloody migraine. NO, it’s not the time of the month and I’m hardly near it too.
Christmas joy? Oh humbug. Not right now.
~_~
(Don’t mind me. I’m too tired for witty banter.)

This comes a day late. Apologies. It is just that things have been going crazy at the office with the holiday season just looming ahead PLUS the fact that I’ll be away soon. Gack.
Kevin Francis (I wonder what happened to Simon?) and Caroline addressed this issue of “house-husbands” yesterday when a woman wrote in seeking for advice about the issue of her husband volunteering to stay at home and take care of the family while she (the woman) went off to work and be the breadwinner.
As the phone calls come in and went out, it seemed as if the women were dead against the idea and MOST of the men (save for Kevin) were cool about the idea of wearing an apron and holding a pan in one hand (and a baby in the other).
